Connecting Your Tenant

Step-by-step guide to connecting your Microsoft 365 tenant to TrustCyber.

TrustCyber connects to your Microsoft 365 environment through a registered Azure AD application using the OAuth 2.0 authorization code flow. This connection is read-only and can be revoked at any time from your Azure Active Directory portal.

Prerequisites

  • A Microsoft 365 Business or Enterprise subscription.
  • Global Administrator or Security Administrator role in your Azure AD tenant.
  • A TrustCyber account (sign up at trustcyber.com).

Connection Steps

  • Log in to your TrustCyber dashboard.
  • Navigate to Settings → Integrations → Microsoft 365.
  • Click 'Connect Tenant'.
  • You will be redirected to the Microsoft consent screen.
  • Sign in with a Global Administrator account.
  • Review the requested permissions and click 'Accept'.
  • You will be redirected back to TrustCyber. The connection status will show 'Connected'.
NoteIf your organization uses Conditional Access policies that block third-party app consent, ask your Global Administrator to pre-approve the TrustCyber enterprise application (App ID: provided in your Settings page) in Azure AD.

Verifying the Connection

After connecting, navigate to Settings → Integrations. The Microsoft 365 tile should show a green 'Connected' status with your tenant domain and the date of the last successful data sync. If the status shows 'Error', see the Troubleshooting section for common resolution steps.

Revoking Access

To disconnect TrustCyber from your Microsoft tenant, navigate to Settings → Integrations → Microsoft 365 and click 'Disconnect'. You can also revoke access directly from Azure AD by navigating to Enterprise Applications, finding the TrustCyber application, and deleting it.
